Short Description of Trainer

Raye Kerre, is a very loud and obnoxious trainer, who is the daughter of Clay, the Driftveil City gym leader, and eagerly hopes that one day she will start her own Gym like her father or take over the Driftveil City gym, once her father steps down.

Background Information

Being born as the daughter of Clay, Raye was a very bright kid when she was younger, and always made her father laugh
each and every day. She always watched her father battle when he was challenge and studied on how he battled. She learned a lot of her father, and on her tenth birthday her father took her off to the Desert Resort to capture her first Pokémon, hoping that it was a Ground or Rock type Pokémon. It actually ended her accidentally capturing a Scraggy on her first try and that was her first Pokémon that she has kept ever since. After capturing various other Pokémon at the age of fourteen she started her journey. After three years she had obtained seven out of eight gym badges, her final gym battle is against her father. She feels too nervous to actually challenge her father so she just ended up helping out her father at the gym until she felt ready to actually challenge her father one day. She also spends time cooking with her mother.

Personality

Her personality is very generous and kind, but can change her mood instantly in a snap, almost like her father. She does care for others but she has certain emotional strings that if hit she’ll end up not liking that person and give them the cold shoulder. She does have a loveable personality once you get to know her, and she can be very hyper and active when something goes her way. She also has a small accent.

Battling Style of Trainer

During battles, Raye can get very frustrated and usually shouts at her Pokémon, which is almost exactly like her father does in
battle. She never “really” admits to lose, just like Clay does but does know when her Pokémon are beaten. She loves her Pokémon dearly, but usually loves them… a bit too much.

Trainer's First Pokemon

Her first Pokémon was a Scraggy that she had accidentally captured one day when her father was teaching her how to properly capture Pokémon.

Where the Trainer Is Before the Story Begins

Raye is introduced in the story where she meets a young girl and her Deerling peeking into the Driftveil City gym nervously and she asks what she’s doing here, only to get an answer that the girl wanted to challenge the gym leader. Seeing the girl as a young trainer, Raye decided to help the poor girl only to be confronted by her father Clay shortly after.
